After 4 weeks in trial, I jetted off to Dallas (hometown) with my gals. I had the good fortune to make a return visit to the Burger House a few days ago. This place, right across from SMU campus, has been around. Founded in 1950 - before rock 'n roll! And it looks and tastes the same. Great greasy burgers and landmark fries with house season salt. Burgers come standard with lettuce, pickles, mustard, onion, tomato and are damn good. I got a double cheeseburger and had no regrets. Mighty tasty. Fries were the thin, crispy, and hot type (as in good). Burger House uses its own season blend, which puts the fries into the stratos.
It gets better - there's a covered patio in back, and you can sit and enjoy the 80 degree weather while you enjoy a killer burger. No beer but who cares. This is an old-fashioned real burger spot. So no complaints. Seating is picnic tables so no worries about kids destroying the furnishings.
It gets even better - as I waited for my double cheeseburger, I got news from the courthouse that the jury decided for my client (in a patent infringement suit). Not sure if being at a burger place affected the jury results.... But I'm not taking chances next time I'm at trial.
So when in Dallas, get on over to the Burger House. www.burgerhouse.com
