The Craftsman

The Craftsman, on E. Lake Street a few blocks from the River, is an outstanding restaurant - www.craftsmanrestaurant.com.  Replaced my beloved Molly Quinn's but it's great.  Interior has wood Mission feel, cool bar and chef focuses on local ingredients (he knows where the beef comes from).  Not a place you'd think to go for a burger, but I'd heard rumors.  Only had one so far but it was excellent: bacon, white cheddar and .... harissa - a North African hot sauce (but not too hot).  Awesome.  Fries also good.  And, beer, interesting selection on tap, including Bell's.   Burger was worth the trip (though I am just on other side of river).

My Burger

This was a a great local find that I've been to a few times.  In Downtown Minneapolis at 6th and Marquette.  A local, new chain that provides burger/fry combos in a box.  See http://www.myburgerusa.com.  Burgers and fries are a high notch up above standard fast food burger chains.  The 100% Angus Burgers come pre-loaded with grilled onions, ketchup, sweet pickles, and mustard.  Fries were crisp and tasty.  Best of all - a box costs $4.95.  As they say, they're "flippin good."  They have a new location in Center City (I have not visited yet).

The Bulldog - Lyndale and 28th

Most recent burger success:  the Bulldog on Lyndale and 28th.  Rocking awesome burger with blue cheese and black pepper.  Fries at this place are some of the best in the Cities.  And beer selection is well above average.   Check it out.
